VertiGreens was established in 2020 during a time of uncertainty when the world’s food supply was at risk due to COVID-19 by a University of Guelph Alumni student.

At VertiGreens, we believe that everyone should have access to fresh fruits and vegetables without breaking the bank with ever-increasing grocery store bills. Produce is something that is produced locally and unmarked at grocery stores. We believe that having control over what you grow and eat is one of the most important parts of health. However, growing produce takes a lot of time and land to get started, which is why many people are hesitant to take on the responsibility of caring for land and plants. VertiGreens believes that by simplifying the process, we are one step closer to each household growing produce in their own house, the way they want it, quickly and easily.
